MATHIEU SAIKALY UNVEILS POURQUOI TU ME DIS JE T'AMIE

Mathieu Saikaly represents a breath of fresh air on the current french pop scene, as he is more of an explorer, with an array of atypical melodies and arrangements. And he brings us another song titled Pourquoi Tu Me Dis Je t’aime, a minimalistic love ballad that reflects on a couple being unable to grow together and just look at things in a selfish way, questioning, do they really know what love is?.

The singer/composer sets the tone with a guitar, empowered by layers of choirs and rhythms that come progressively like the sound of a waterfall approaching. This illustrates how his career has gone, since the early days when he started with a YouTube channel and trying to build something, but what happened in the end, is that he conquered the stage as the winner of the 2014 edition of the TV hit show Nouvelle Star, and found himself signed and with a huge platform.

After that big moment, later he decided to go as an independent artist, feeling the need of creative and personal freedom, betting on himself...an that has been absolutely rewarding, recording more intimate, raw and powerful music through a series of records that brings us to today, when he is on the verge of releasing a new collection of songs and adventuring into more sonic unexplored doors that are opening to him with no limits.
